\'Handsome man for your wish\'
M.Pokora - he carries Poland in his heart
He\'s a guy loved by thousands of girls around the world. Also Polish girls are totally crazy about him, cause he\'s handsome, talented and.. in half Polish.
-First, let\'s talk about your roots. How is it with your Polish part of MP?
-My grandparents from dad\'s side emigrated to France during the war and stayed there. So Polish blood is in me and it means much to me. When I started my career I didn\'t even think about having a nickname - I wanted to stay at my real name. But also the meaning of word \'pokora\' is important.
Oh
:D There are some facts about him in the circle, but you know them all
But this one is great
: \"He can say in Polish: good morning, goodbye, thank you and nice lady (actually, his grandmother taught him this phrase)\"
-But you haven\'t visited our country yet?
-Yes, it\'s true, but I\'m exploring it now. I must admit that it\'s very emotional. I\'m glad that I can see the country known only from stories and discover places and people.
-So.. you\'re visiting your grandparents\' land and at first you\'re taking part in a contest.
-That\'s why I\'m really happy that I can come here and present my music. I hope that Polish audience will like me. The award is not important. I prefer those given by fans, not people from the industry.
-You\'ve recorder 3 albums so far and you\'re 22. Which part of your career is the most important to you and why?
-It\'s hard to choose such a period. The things went on so quickly. It all started in 2003 when I took part in \'Popstars\'. In 2004 I left Linkup and started a solo career. Then it came to recording my solo albums and concerts. I became recognizable in France. My life has changed - I can\'t walk on the street normally, because there\'s always someone to ask me for an autograph or just say hello - it\'s really nice by the way. I don\'t spend much time in home now. After realeasing MP3 I\'m travelling all over the world and I like it.
-What do you think: which country wouldn\'t you visit if you weren\'t an artist?
-Mexico, I think. Personally I wouldn\'t go there. I was worried about how I would be welcomed there. Latin America has a different culture. I was totally shocked, because people sang along with me, not only \'Dangerous\' that reached 4th place in their charts. Now I\'ll be visiting Japan and it will also be a great experience.
-You had some contact with Latin culture before - I mean your single with Ricky Martin, which was warmly welcomed.
-It\'s something different. I\'m an artist who was asked to collaborate by an icon. Ricky is a Latin star of worldwide format. I really liked working with him. I must admit that I like meeting different people and other cultures. Travelling gives me the opportunity to observe, discover.. and it\'s a great inspiration.
-Do you like duets? Who would you like to sing with?
-Yes, I like working with other people and never avoid it. I\'d like to record something with Lupe Fiasco or Pharrel Williams.
-How did you meet Timbaland?
-I was performing with Nelly Furtado. She and her team liked what I presented and they decide to contact me with Timbaland.
-Did you worked well with him? Didn\'t you feel stressed?
-Before our first meeting, yes, cause he\'s a great producer of worldwide fame. But when we met, it all changed. The collaboration went super. I was hoping to record my songs in English and promote my album not only in France. And Timbo wasn\'t the only producer on the album, we worked also with Ryan Leslie. I\'m really glad about the final effect.
-Weren\'t your French fans dissapointed?
-The French version of MP3 contains two songs in my national language, so I didn\'t totally resigned from French. I was thinking about English album for a long time and here came the chance to do this.
-Let\'s talk bout your tattoos. You\'ve got lots of them, you\'re a great fan of painting your body, I think.
-Yes, I started making them when I was 17 and can\'t stop (laugh). Now I\'ve got 13 tattoos and I\'m thinking about what to paint next. It\'s absorbing!
-Is any of them the most important one?
-Every of them was special in some period of time. They\'re like a record of the moment, some emotions. None is now more important than others.
-At the end, tell us what\'s written on your neck.
(and now.. erm.. didn\'t they write wrong?) \'If the thing you see is more beautiful than silence you\'d better shut up\'
And that\'s all
